Breaking the Rules Tour ~ Guest Post

Author’s Take on Drake Baylor
Drake Baylor Jr. is not your boy next door, however he’s so hot you’ll wish he lives next door to you! He’s made a lot of mistakes, but is working hard to right his wrongs, and make himself and those around him proud.

Drake isn’t based on anyone I know, but I’d be proud to say I know him. He is intelligent, humble, determined, loyal, and he wears his heart on his sleeve, that’s for sure! He definitely takes the lead in the bedroom, and isn’t afraid to be vocal (swoon!) and constantly showers Morgan with love, affection, and reassurance. I’d say his best quality, though, is the fact that although he’s had some tough breaks in his life, and has made some bad decisions because of that, he still puts his best foot forward every day to become the best version of himself possible, and that is something to admire.

Drake isn’t just beautiful on the inside, he’s simply gorgeous on the outside! He takes great care of himself, working out almost daily to maintain his boxer’s physique. He is a busy guy who claims to have zero skills in the kitchen, so eats a lot of healthy go-to foods to keep himself in shape and energized (he and Morgan fondly refer to it as chick food!). His deep brown eyes mesmerize while his chiseled jawline is always coated with a five o’clock shadow that simply begs to be nibbled. His shy half smiles dazzle, which is how I’m sure he used to charm the ladies, but now that he only has eyes for Morgan Lane, she’s the one who’s dazzled.

Unknown Fact: Although Drake majored in business at college, he minored in geology. His mother used to let him play with her jewelry collection as a small boy because he was fascinated by the various stones she owned and loved how they all individually caught the sun’s light. Since then, he’s been captivated with rocks and minerals.

Book Description

Morgan Lane has just completed grad school, and has accepted a job at Baylor Industries with the help of her father, who just so happens to be golf buddies with Drake Baylor Sr., CEO.  Morgan has lived her 24 years of life under her parents thumbs, and is more than eager to start living life and carving successful career for herself.

Drake Baylor Jr. is being groomed to take over as CEO of Baylor Industries upon his father’s retirement.  Although he was raised in an affluent household, his formative years were rough, leading to a string of bad decisions, and hard lived years.  In order to take over as CEO, his father has given him a set of rules to live by for an indefinite period of time: No drugs, limited alcohol consumption, and absolutely no relationships whatsoever with women-his greatest weakness.  If Drake can abstain from those three things, work hard, and gain his father’s trust, he can have the keys to the Kingdome.
Drake meets Morgan on her first day at Baylor Industries, and the phrase “love at first sight” doesn’t even come close to describing what is felt between them.  Their instant attraction is a magnetic pull that is stronger than either one of them can handle.  Now Drake and Morgan are faced with figuring out how to fight for their future together, hoping not to get caught “Breaking the Rules”.
